Peggy,
There is no way I know of that allows you to import selected gallery files after you have exported you entire LAT 1.0. But if you access a computer that still has LAT 1.0, you can export catoegories and subcategories. For example, you can export the entire activities folder or choose what subfolder within the activities folder you want (category sort, examples, etc.). Once they are saved you can import those into your my content folder bu going to your my content folder and choosing add to my content, finding your files and adding them. Hope this helps.

I would save your LAT 1.0 and any galleries you have created BEFORE upgrading. Click on the gallery you want to save. Select the arrow to the right of it. Choose Export as Collection file. It will save that gallery to your desktop so you can double-click and install it on another computer or in case an upgrade wipes out your My Content. Then upgrade to LAT 2.0 which will wipe out your LAT 1.0 gallery. Lastly, install LAT 1.0 gallery and other galleries you saved by double-clicking on them to install. They will install in your My Content folder. Here is the LAT 1.0 gallery in case you need it at LAT 1.0

I have saved a copy of the old LAT 1.0 from our school's network drive on my pin drive. Is there anyway I can open it and select the content I want to save (in My Content) or will that "erase" my LAT 2.0 in the process requiring me to do the upgrade to LAT 2.0 again?

Thanks so much for the heads up! I had a long conversation with the people at ST when I discovered they are removing content and reducing functionality of certain objects. Their excuse was they couldn't fit everything on an install CD. I'm simply dumbstruck by this logic.

Smart Technologies is really making a poor showing at updating their software lately. They don't seem to realize the implications of their decisions.

Cheers!

Hello Jim and others. If you use image items that are in LAT 1.0 be aware that they are not available in LAT 2.0 and once you upgrade to LAT 2.0 you cannot easily get the LAT 1.0 images back. I have spent over 5 days trying to get the LAT 1.0 images installed. The process was long and involved and very frustrating for me and the tech support at SMARTtech. Make a backup of Gallery before downloading just in case. Lots of issues. I lost all of My Content in the process but with the help of Tech Support was able to reconstruct from the Backup version.
