Thanks for the links. I am an Educational Technology Specialist for the North Rockland Central School District. I have a ton of information and sources, I just dont have any of it open yet. I am working on my wikispace to include some of my screencasts and other open sources.

Thanks for the information. Great resources out there! This will make it so much easier to find something useful.

I'm about to start using a SmartBoard in a computer lab with 25 computers. This is a 3rd year university-level research methods and statistics class. I want to learn how to use a SmartBoard effectively. This is new to me, although I'm reasonably tech-savvy. My initial need which I'm researching is about ways to MAGNIFY the picture. We need this, particularly when working with data and statistics to highlight particular parts to students who may be sitting some distance from the SB, and with a terminal in front of them. I have read and searched and I am exploring solutions with local techs, but still would be interested in any suggestions.

It is the school's. To view my class pages, click on 'classes' on the right column. I have 2 courses - Pre Algebra honors and Pre Algebra on level. I don't think the info is helpful unless you are a student of mine, but I added it just in case. Can you tell me what kind of websites you do see from teachers?

The congruency SB file is a constructivist pedagogy... it should allow enable the students to construct their own definition of the term cingruent via by using observation/deduction skills.

Thank you so much. I did a lot of looking around yesterday at a day-long SMART workshop. Found a lot of great things. I've been dabbling with the smartboard all year and have loved every minute. Will share next chance I get. Thanks again!

I do. Lots. I have been reluctant to post them because I used united streaming video clips in alot of them. Do you see that as a problem?

I checked out the lessons; not too much for senior high science. I know the UK website: yteach.co.uk has great stuff for interactive white boards and we have a long way to go to make that kind of data base. The UK lessons are very expensive though and I make do using them with the preview screen in the background. I would love to share my stuff; it is really alligned to the Alberta provincial curriculum.

Yes I am. It's called Integrating Math the SMART Way. I am a little nervous about it. It isn't anything that great. They just needed a Math presentation and so I volunteered.
I'll try and make it to yours. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm more than willing to share what I know. I love my smartboard! I need to be at work in order to link some of the files and will get on that ASAP. Thanks again. I'm very excited to get new ideas.

You are quite a globe trotter. Lancaster, PA is about 1/2 hour - 45 minutes away. I will have to let you know about the training.

I was the first teacher in my district to have a SmartBoard installed in my classroom. Since the first installation, we have had about 60 SmartBoards installed. Our biggest problem is that the technology is given to us without any training or guidance. We had one technology coach in our district and he is great, but we need more coaches. I am a self-taught SmartBoard and Senteo user. I know there are more things I can do with the SmartBoard but I only have the tutorials and free online training available at this time.
