I am doing very well. i just got back from Sacramento where I handled the video and audio chores for the celebration of the 5 new California Teachers of the Year. Let me know when they finally get around to awarding this to you in your state. It should only be a matter of time. You are already a true star.
I have seen the new board and I want one. I sent an off color letter to Kimberly and Stephen saying how much I want one. No real response so far. We applied to be a smart showcase school but have yet to hear an answer. I think we will be traveling all summer this year in utah etc. By the way if the revolution's bday was the 11th that is also my bday. I turned 52 and hit my 1000 mile on my mountain bike for the year!
Happy bday Obe and the Revolution. You folks have truly helped lots of folks from all over the world. Something you should be very proud of. You guys are great and truly appreciated.
Thanks Obe - I really enjoyed your Smart presentation at VSTE and was glad to find out about Smart Revolution. I took over Kathy Parrish's TRT position at Rockhill in Stafford County and believe I met you at VSTE with Kathy when we presented two years ago. I love Smartboard!
Thanks Obe - I've been perusing The Smart Exchange for some time but am now finally joining. We just received 10 new boards at my school so I want to have this as an on-going resource. I've been using Rockingham's site since I came on board as a TIS last January. Your website is so organized and well done. Thanks for sharing all your hard work.
Hi Obe! I joined the Ning group, and am excited to learn lots of new things! I joined the art teacher group too. Can't wait for you to visit our class! Is this site open to preservice teachers?
Thanks! I have joined that group and hope to find lots of resources! I am new to 2nd but have experience with the board and teaching 3rd. I am also my school's Smartboard contact, so this site will hopefully help me in that way as well!
Hi Obe. Just so you know-Cape Town is still beautiful. Just a little stormy this morning. Thanks for the help-thought it was that. We are just getting started here with Smartboards and Notebook and I can see that this site is going to be a great help.I've got so much to learn still...
thanks! I am new to this so I am exploring at this time. Looking for other Kindergaten peeps to give me some ideas and resources to get me started. Have been teaching for 15 yrs but learned I was a K teacher last year 3 days before school started so I am still getting my feet on the ground. What a great resource this is!
Hey Obe, I finally posted my counseling student learning center on smart board revolution wiki. It's called Problem-solving center and it's under the school counseling link on the left side bar.
Let me know what you think! It's my first attempt. I taught it to 4th graders and used it to demonstrate smart board tools to staff here.
Thanks for your encouragement.
Beth
Thanks, Obe. "If you build it, they will come!", right? Hope that the wiki will benefit users of SMART boards. I am thrilled you started this social network. It will be a great place for us to share!
Thanks for the kind words Obe! I'm just in the process of transferring my blog over from Blogger to Joomla tomorrow...I'm going to try to make sure that all the links stay active, but it might take a week or two to catch up! (the main url will remain the same: http://blog.sharpsav.com)
Hey Obe,
I have not forgotten about sharing a lesson. I went in wikispace? And created a school counselor page for sharing lessons. I uploaded one but then deleted it becuase I was thinking about copywrite laws. The problem I have in the moment with the lessons that I have created - they have the Lifeskills workbook pages or Kids and Company Materials scanned into the lessons and these are copywrited. . .
Soooooooo, I'm currently working on an interactive, stand-along conflict resolution lesson that I hope to post soon. Thanks for the encouragement!
Beth
HI Obe, My lessons are sepcifically geared toward the LifeSkills Curriclum by Botvins and Kids and Company by National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. They are large files so I have to find out how to "share" them as I have not explored this yet. . . . . What do you want to see just the smart board lesson itself and then you can write me for clafification or. . . . . . any particular topic? I have about 15 lessons. . . . Let me know how you want to begin this sharing. . .
