SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

SMART Technologies has updated their Teacher Exchange and they have done an excellent job. It is a lot easier to navigate, it is very user friendly, and the best part is the Preview Feature that allows you to preview the notebook lesson prior to downloading. Nice Job SMART Tech.

Yes, the preview feature has made Teacher Exchange a much more user friendly experience. For some unknown reason, the network filtering used by my school system often scrambles notebook files as they are downloaded. The filters think the files are zipped when they aren't. The download is delivered in an un-zipped form when it was never zipped to begin with. The result is a SMART File Humpty Dumpy experience with the files being a scrambled mess never to be put back together again. We have a way to work around the problem, but it's one of those multi-step things that requires practice to get it right and is easily forgotten if you don't use it often. The preview feature is a SMART Technologies godsend. We can now look at the lesson to see if it's what we want before we struggle with the download.

As a teacher, I want to take a quick look and be done w/ it. I rarely have time to search. Tiffany Jewelry | links of london

Hi, my name is Mark Altosaar and I am one of the Product Managers for the new SMART Exchange.

I am glad that you all like the new design - we're working hard to implement the 'most recent' lessons feature.

In the meantime what you can do is run a blank search by clicking on the magnifying glass on the homepage and then select 'SMART Notebook lessons' from the Narrow results section. If you select Sort by: Newest first, you should see all of the lessons that were recently submitted.

If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to contact me: markaltosaar@smarttech.com.

I totally agree. I don't want to search every week to find the latest new lessons. i want to be able to have an RSS feed so I know when new Notebook files are added. This was an excellent feature in the old SMART Exchange.

That was my favorite feature of the old website also.
