SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

So...I have an hour and a half reading block every day. I have an hour math block every day. For both of those blocks I lose some of my kids and get others from the other teachers. After lunch, I have my class for a half hour to 45 minutes for writing (6+1 writing traits). Then we have RtI intervention time for those kids who need it. During that time, some of my kids to to another teacher for content instruction with a reading strategy focus . See...they were green according to the AimsWeb fluency scores, so they don't qualify for interventions, but they didn't meet on the state test. At the same time I get other students from the other class. All this is our response to RtI.

What does this mean for technology use in my class room? It's hard to work on projects because of the rigid schedule. Now I get what the middle school teachers are talking about. You just get the students into work time and class is over. We can't work across subjects because I don't have the same kids for each subject. It is very frustrating.
