I have two computers in my classroom with SB tools. I teach first grade and I would love to learn how to use these tools but not sure what I can do...any help would be awesome!!
PS I don't have a smart board in my classroom
We have several teachers in our building in the same predicament as you seem to be in: have the software, but not the interactive screen (yet). Now's your chance to explore it through your computer; then you'll feel better prepared when you get the other components you need. I teach first grade as well (in Wisconsin), and would be happy to share SMART board activities and sites with you! Look me up at Twitter as gr1teacher, or chat with me through this forum! I've had a SMART board for 4 years, and there's still so much to learn, from the software as well as these wonderful people of the online community!

I've been researching Smart Boards for two months now and have put together a Word document listing various tutorials - pdfs explaining the Smart Notebook, 2-minute videos, PP presentations, etc. I'll skim through ans see what I can find for you today.

If you go through the interactives and multi-media section in the gallery, there are all kinds of activity templates that you can quickly create for a lesson.
I do not have a screen but something called SB tools...it is software. Thanks for the comments.

Notebook is similar to PowerPoint except Notebook everything can move, rotate and be resized. Notebook software is incredible software especially if used on a SMARTBoard.
If by tools you mean SB software, you can go to SMARt's Web Site and download files that have already been created to go with your curriculum. Then you could have the kids practice with them at center time. You could also create your own files and have kids practice the skills using Sb software. The SB just makes everything interactivie on it, but the software is very good in itself.
