A Revolution in Education
I was awakened this morning at 8:37 by a call from my former assistant principal who left to be the principal of a K-8 district with two schools. She asked if I had time to stop by and talk to her and the superintendent about a technology job. Their person just quit out of the blue. I said I'd be there in an hour. I attended the SMART Exemplary Educator Summit this July at the SMART HQ in Calgary. It was a great time of learning about what's coming from the company to giving them feedback on many of the products they now offer. One of the SMART Employees, Chris Klein, talked about "Elevating the problem." In other words, ramp up the problem and look for that solution instead of focusing on small problems and solutions.
