I've posted this on several of the forums with questions about Lion and Notebook so it is found frequently in searches and in the latest activity.
I was going to talk about this issue on the last SBRGVUG meeting, but we had issues with the free service I was using and never got to it.
These are different companies releasing software. One can change something in the architecture of their software, change the way something has worked for a while, and it… Continue

Our librarian has been using a SMART notebook activity that uses an interactive dice. For some reason it isn't working. I tried to attach it here but that didn't work either. We have deleted the dice and brought in another with the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the opportunity to preview the Applied Smart Board Course
from Blossom Learning. I found it very easy to use. Simply log in with the email that was used to purchase the course and click "Launch." There are 8 chapters. Each chapter has a 5-10 minute video (I never timed them) and a 10 question chapter assessment. If you don't get 80% on the assessment you'll have to do the assessment again. It would be nice if there was a link… Continue

I’ve developed some notebook lesson plans for various subjects that I’d like to share. There are 88 lessons across various subjects for you to download, hopefully you will find them useful. Just select the subject and download the notebook file. When you click on the lesson plan page
scroll to the bottom to see the file.
As I make more lessons I’ll upload them!

Smart Notebook users should be aware of a new update that came out last week. Version 10.6 has a couple of very neat new features.
The most obvious feature is a new icon on your toolbar that gives you access to Measurement Tools. This is basically a ruler, protractor, compass and set square that may look familiar if you’ve ever used Promethean software :) All of these tools should prove very useful to maths teachers.

I provide a lot of support for teachers using the new version of SMART Notebook and I'm often asked to explain how to use the wonderful tools found in the Lesson Activity Toolkit.
One of the newest tools is the Balloon Pop tool. The Balloon Pop tool is a flash object that looks like a balloon and makes a popping noise and disappears when it's touched. This is useful for displaying information hidden behind the Balloon Pop object. You can use it to reveal positive and negative… Continue
