I would like to be able to post Notebook pages that I have created, so that students could access many from one, convenient site. I've looked into Glogster and Prezi, but neither allows the Notebook interface. Is anyone aware of a similar tool that would support Notebook data uploads?

Today I was helping the art teacher do an art project with my students inside of Notebook. I went to show the students that once they were inside the properties tab and they selected the item they wanted to fill with color, they could go beyond the palette choices on the tab by clicking on "more". However, when I clicked on "more" there was only the crayon box popping up. I used to have 4 choices inside the "more" button--RGB color wheel, RGB sliders, crayon box and a landscape… Continue

I just realized it's been waaaay too long since I updated my pseudo-blog on this website, so it's time to get back on track! I thought I'd start with a simple, but very useful post: how to find user guides for the myriad of SMART products.
Personally, I find that sometimes features change, or I don't use a particular aspect of a piece of SMART software for awhile, and when the time comes to recall how to do it, I find myself wasting valuable time playing around looking…

Unlike some of the previous tools that I've brought attention to in previous blog posts, I'm guessing that the majority of you have already seen the spinner. But I'm willing to bet that many of you haven't experimented to discover that you can manipulate many of the properties of it to make the spinner work for various applications in your classroom.…

My main focus when working with teachers in SMART Board pd workshops is to help facilitate the creation of lessons that increase student interactivity and collaboration in the classroom. This easily goes well for the first few hours of the workshop...
But then reality sets in, as teachers consistently ask for 'tips and tricks' that help them gain that oh-so-elusive, yet valuable commodity: TIME.
And so I decided… Continue

Back to the links to my 'how to' videos on various features of the new Math Tools!
The latest one demonstrates how to convert handwriting of a math formula into text, as well as how to use the various Math actions after this conversion:http://sharpsav.com/blog/math-tools-part-iv-formula-handwriting-recognition.html
This one astounds me every time!

Time for another installation of my mini-imitation blog!
In this post, I've reviewed yet another feature of the new Math Tool bar available in SMART Notebook -- the wide variety of new shapes (apparently also known as regular polygons -- who knew?)http://sharpsav.com/blog/math-tools-part.html

The SMART Exchange
is an excellent website to search and find thousands of Notebook lessons as well as websites that anyone can download and use. I would highly recommend using the SMART Exchange on a regular basis to find Notebook lessons or websites. Hopefully, as you use this free service, you will be inspired to share your Notebook files or websites. The Notebook files don't have to be perfect to share. I would prefer to… Continue

Since we now have lots of SMARTBoards, training, questions and troubleshooting, I figured it was time to create a web page to help answer the many questions.
Let me know if you have suggestions.

Maybe I'm behind and I know that Obe shared the 'sneak peek' at this, but you can go into the Gallery and update your Notebook 10 software to get the new Lesson Activity Toolkit 2.0 items. Here's a blog post to explain how to do it:

I have created a customized Google search engine to help make it easier to find SMARTBoard Notebook files online. It searches over 110 websites including Smarttech and SMART Exchange's websites. I would love to add any websites that you know of that have Notebook files online. Email me any you have. If you have any suggestions, ideas, comments on making Smart Notebook software better, please post them at the Smart Exchange at http://exchange.smarttech.com/forums/p/2961/7249.aspx#7249
Smarttech does their best to listen to our suggestions. The tables in Notebook 10 were suggestions by users. Together we can help make the Notebook software even better.
