Managing SMART technology implementations

Good morning,

Curious on how schools & school districts are managing their SMART technology implementations (Smart boards, Notebook, Response, podiums, doc cameras & projectors)?

What are the challenges with maintaining & optimizing these implementations?

- s/w updates

- maintenance schedules

- usage data

Just Joined

Hi All

I've never blogged before. So I will watch this for a while. I only have yahoo group experience. I use to use teachers.net. I joined for elmo support after watching Matt's video 10 minutes ago on Using elmo and smartboard. I want access to more tech videos. I would eventually like to create small clips like Matt. Thanks for being here.

I hope I did this correctly. If I make any errors, please feel free to let me know.

Enlarge Page

Does anyone know if you can get rid of the "enlarge page" option that always appears at the bottom of a notebook page when you start to scroll down the page? It is driving one of my kindergarten teachers crazy because it keeps appearing and changing the size of her page.

SMART Board choices

I have been charged with choosing one of the following SMART Boards for our Conference Room:
Model 660
Model 685
Model 690

In looking at the specs it seems that the big difference is just that the size...What do I need to look at to make a good choice?
Why choose a bigger screen over a smaller screen?

Any help will be appreciated..

Thanks

Ed Tech, RtI, and Me

So...I have an hour and a half reading block every day. I have an hour math block every day. For both of those blocks I lose some of my kids and get others from the other teachers. After lunch, I have my class for a half hour to 45 minutes for writing (6+1 writing traits). Then we have RtI intervention time for those kids who need it. During that time, some of my kids to to another teacher for content instruction with a reading strategy focus . See...they were green according to the AimsWeb… Continue
