School Board Presentation

Hello all!

I am a technology coordinator for Darien School District 61 in Darien, IL. I have a informational presentation to give to our school board on our Districts' SMART boards. My teachers (some students) and I will all be presenting I was wondering if any of you might share any tips or notebook files you have used to wow your School Board. Any files or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks so very much!

Need a little help

My students have been doing a Joke of the Day podcast since November. I've advertised it in several arenas since then. There is a link for email comments, but we've not received one the whole time. They are losing interest because they think no one is listening. It's still a great activity, and they are learning a lot, but they would like some feedback.

Sooooo...If you could listen and comment. If you like it, listen a couple times a week and comment every few weeks. Have your… Continue

Mr. Duey and Math Magician

Two separate topics being discussed today in the post.

The first is a link to a site that has been brought to my attention via a video on TeacherTube. He goes by the name of Mr. Duey and he has just released an album aptly called, "Class Dis-Missed". Although… Continue

Blogging about my other Blog...

I was not sure if I could take my whole blog post from my edublog and lay it down here, so I am re-directing anyone who may want to venture over there to: wlingle.edublogs.org

I have found something really cool that edublogs advertise to put into your TextBox Widgets called a Voki Avatar. I think the possibilities are innumerable and would be a really cool way to reach students through cyberspace.

Check it out if you would… Continue

Wow!

I am impressed by the high level of experience in our community. It is awesome to be a part of such a great community. For those who are just beginning with Smart Boards, don't be intimidated. Everyone was a novice at one time. Ask all your questions in the forum and watch for a flood of good ideas in return. The rest of us just need to remember that there are beginners here and answer accordingly. Don't assume they know all the lingo.

If any of you have your own edublogs, feel free… Continue
