We are looking for teachers to take part in a Smart Board Notebook lesson exchange that will be housed online at www.box.net (Online File Holding Site). This will allow teachers to have access to many different Smart Board Notebook Lessons from any computer at any time. It will be as simple as clicking to download a Smart Board lesson that someone else has taken the time to create. This is not just aimed towards Primary or Intermediate or Secondary, but for everyone...

As of Wednesday night, I still don't have a Smartboard installed. Guys came into my room (while I was teaching) and began remounting my Smartboard. I have no laptop yet and they can't seem to figure out how to mount the Smartboard properly. I'm listening to the Smartboard podcast with Joan Badger and Ben Hazzard and they're great. Lots of information and tips. However, until I can start playing with my Smartboard I can't really apply their "tricks of the trade." One of the top 5 misuses of Smart…

Today my Smartboard was installed, or more accurately, it was mounted on my wall. It is not hooked up and is little more than a whiteboard at the moment. However, this is progress! My next step is to get my tech dept to hook it up and install all the software. Tomorrow is another day and another day closer to using my Smartboard, I hope.

I know it's late and I am tired which might be contributing to the fact that I can't seem to figure out how to get the Notebook interactive flash card to work. More specifically I can't figure out how to input the answers-- it's just not working! Any help would be appreciated-- I'm sure it's an easy solution that I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

I've recently listened to episode 144 of the
SMARTboard lesson podcast where Joan and Ben shared the book
Brain Rules, by John Medina, and how it translated to the SMARTboard. It was a great podcast, as usual. But the way they talked about the rules and implications for education compelled me to get the book. I downloaded it from
audible.com on Saturday and have listened t…

I provide a lot of support for teachers using the new version of SMART Notebook and I'm often asked to explain how to use the wonderful tools found in the Lesson Activity Toolkit.
One of the newest tools is the Balloon Pop tool. The Balloon Pop tool is a flash object that looks like a balloon and makes a popping noise and disappears when it's touched. This is useful for displaying information hidden behind the Balloon Pop object. You can use it to reveal positive and negative feedback, correct…
