- How do you use a Smart Board? Please tell us a little about your interest in Smart Boards, and why you are seeking to join this community.
- I was born to teach! Both of my parents were teachers. I have been teaching for over 16 years. My career began as an 8th grade English teacher in Aracadia, FL. I spent 3 years there and received the Beginning Teacher of the Year Award for DeSoto County. The weather was great, but I missed my family! So....I moved back to NY and taught for 3 years are Brockport Middle School and 2 years at Pittsford Middle School. Then I had a beautiful baby girl and stayed home for 5 years. During that time I taught as an Adjunct Teacher in the English Department at Nazareth College. In 2003 I opened my own creative arts center and preschool in Fairport called "Sensational Kids." This was a successful endeavor that lasted four years, until I returned to public school teaching in 2007. I currently teach 8th grade ELA at T.C. Armstrong Middle School. I love my career - but I dislike the early mornings!
