Good question but unfortunately I don't think so. The pen woudl treat the entire screen as a writing surface. But I would make sure your SMART Board Drivers are up-to-date, it should inject the ink (Save it to the document) if the application is i...

When a teacher is in Word, PPT or an internet site and they are using the pen, but would like to scroll down, it doesn't seem that they can without losing the ink? Does anyone have a way around this? We've tried to use the camera tool and then shr...

I haven't had a chance to look at the Response CE and I see that it works with 'computer enabled' classrooms. Most of the teachers I work with don't have that ability. Unless we could hook it up to a laptop cart. Thanks for the advice, though, I n...

Have you had a look at the newly released SMART Classroom Suite, which includes Response CE for student devices - this will allow text input and works really successfully. .

I will try one more time with this. Maybe there's nothing in production, but I was wondering when SMART would be releasing a voting device to rival the Promethean ActivExpression? Is there one in production?

Is there anything in production from SMART to have a SMARTResponse clicker that can text and compete with the Promethean ActivExpression learning response units? I figured they must be working on one, but haven't heard about one, and have had more...

Lesson Activity Toolkit 2.0 released

Maybe I'm behind and I know that Obe shared the 'sneak peek' at this, but you can go into the Gallery and update your Notebook 10 software to get the new Lesson Activity Toolkit 2.0 items. Here's a blog post to explain how to do it:

The SMART site I found to explain a little more:

Thoughts on Senteo 2.0

I was just curious if others have used the new Senteo 2.0 software with their clickers. I have helped a few teachers go through it and I'm sure there are just some things I'm not picking up on, so I thought I'd ask.

SENTEO QUESTIONS:
1. Is there any way to bring in exponents and fractions?
We tried to copy and paste things from Word Equation editor and even just superscripts, but it didn't go into the Senteo nicely. The only way it did was to edit the question after one is entered… Continue

Mark,

I will pass the kudos for Phill and Todd along to them. Thanks for the kind remarks about their training. How does my SMART Board Website looked all pimped out on Twitter?

Hey Mark, I love to have friends. :) Thanks.
I probably found this site first when looking for the floating tools problem. I finally managed to convince Smart HelpDesk guys that there is a problem with the floating tools when told them about the listings on this site. They kept telling me that nobody complained before. This is one of my favorite sites for Smartboards. Your face looks familiar. Did you come to NYSECATE this year?

Carl,

It is all coming back to me now. I was in the lobby of the hotel and you all came in from the cold and Rick was wearing the interesting hat. I had fun and learned a bunch of things at NYSCATE this year. Hope you enjoyed NYSCATE, too.

Hey Mark Carls,

One of your postings in the Forum caught my attention as it said Rick Weinberg in it. I am from Western New York. I work with Model Schools out of Erie 1 BOCES. The Rick Weinberg I know works out of the Erie 2 BOCES in Salamanca. What two counties do you work for in Western New York as a Technology Staff Specialist?

Just curious,
