I remember you from WIT! and from your helpful posts on that listserve.
We have just purchased 3 smart boards for our private day school in Skokie, IL. I am at a loss of how to get teachers on board and train them not to be afraid to try the new tool. I did a search on the site and your name and quickly came up. Will you be interested in doing some teacher training and presenting for us in August?

Great session. I had the students in my NLU class there too. I teach a class in using technology to teach ELLs. When I saw the flyer and all the topics, I wanted them to be there. In class we are learning to use digital stories, blogs, wikis, and google docs for class assignments, but also with ELL students.

We are getting more boards in my district each year. My school has 1 in every class from k-5, plus ESL pullout and music and art. Because of the positive reports from my building, about 30 others in the district wrote an in-district grant to get one. So...one of the things I'd like to do is post short video tutorials to help the new teachers get started.
I'd like to see it be a place where teachers can share lesson files, discuss interactive whiteboard use, and collaborate on projects. They can also upload video of lessons or their own tips and tricks.
My building is part of the E2T2 grant and I'm the lead teacher. I will be inviting hundreds more teachers that got Smart Boards through the grant as well.
I love this tool, and I want to be able to interact with others to share my enthusiasm and learn from them.
