Your opinions on SMART?

Hi all. I'm an account manager with a regional IT company that supports EDU. I'm not trying to sell anything but would like any input you can offer on your use of SMART boards. I have an area school district that I work with that has purchased Promethean boards in the past and is getting ready to buy many more this year. What I'm reading is that SMART seems to be a the top of the playing field here in the US? I don't sell either but would like to pass along the info to the school district.…See More

"It is pretty simple for me. If you want to immediately bring students to the board there is not learning curve on the SMART board. Kids can write with their fingers or anything else. The other boards have a steep learning curve and the need to…"

"I love Smart NoteBook. When I have evaluated Prometheans, (or even the home-made Wii-based whiteboards) it always comes down to software for me. The reason you pay so much for a SB680 isn't the hardware, it's the software."

"I have no experience with Promethean boards. I can honestly say that I really enjoy the software that comes with the boards. That is what sold me. The board itself can be a bit annoying at times because any vibrations will cause a misalignment…"
