I don't have a Christmas Notebook to share. Instead I'm looking for a flash app/program(?) that will allow me to drag a word to it and have it disappear. Last year I downloaded one of these for Halloween from Jim Hollis's site and used it for atte...

I have the same problem. I know that the bulb on my projector is not on the brightest setting so that it will last longer. The computer monitor is back lit which means it can be seen even when all the lights are on. The SmartBoard has a front proj...

Well, it's Nov 22 now and no update yet. Anyone have a clue as to when we might expect a Snow Leopard compatible upgrade? The only thing holding us up is the Notebook software.

Jim Hollis' "Teachers Love Smart Boards" is wonderful. I recommend him to everyone who has a SmartBoard. I'm waiting for our Tech Meister to send off the paperwork so that I can also enroll in the Teacher Online Training sessions.

I don't have a special presentation clicker. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that I use. My computer is behind my teacher desk and it makes me uncomfortable for students to be there. Plus they are not as active in the lesson when they are the...

I am a new MAC user, MAC Book Pro with Snow Leopard, and a technology consultant. I am working in a MAC school in NYC and I could not get my MAC to recognize the Smart 10.0 driver. Last Tuesday, I did 6 hours of training on Smartboards for Differe...

I have a game that is similar to Jeopardy which has internal links to different pages in the PowerPoint. I know that I could recreate it in Notebook and link the pages but I decided it wasn't worth my time. I simply show the PowerPoint on the Smar...

Hi, really disappointed with the software team at SB for Macs. I've been asking for over a year to add the auto hide feature the PC has, to reduce the groups and give you a larger window to work in notebook. On the PC side there is a small box to ...

I think there is an ethical issue here. We don't expect our students to cheat and plagiarize. Why should the administration choose a cheaper board and allow the teachers to use the Notebook software on it? That's cheating in my mind and not fair t...

What you need is a screen shot program that has a time delay on it. I believe SnagIt does this, but it is not a free program. Fortunately there is a trail version. If that doesn't work, look at this website that has 15 different screen shot progra...

I had this issue also. If following Obe's advice doesn't work, look to see if you are using too many of the flash games/activities. I didn't have enough RAM to support the flash. I finally got more RAM and my computer is not bogged down as much. A...

Thanks Jim. You certainly follow your motto that "sharing is caring." However, I would rather take your course to learn how to do it myself. I'm trying to get our tech guy to pay for a year of your training.
