Lisa O'Dell said… - I'm curious . . are you making print captures of the new S.S. workbook pages? We've got those documents on the CD planner that you received in the spring, and we'll also get an e-planner ---We haven't received that user name and password from the company yet, so I haven't been able to manipulate that yet. (I was on the S.S. committee.) Hope to go to the second half of the S.S. PDA in August.

- Sounds like great summer project. I wish someone at the fourth grade level had your level of expertise work on the fourth grade version! :)

Thanks . . I bet you've got a lot of great stuff . . some of the 3rd grade activities would apply to fourth grade. Since I had already done a 5 day course on Smartboard the week before, I didn't go to the feast's first Smartboard lessons. I did go to the last day's Smartboard event when the company we purchased the Smartboards gave a presentation. It was pretty good and I got some activities from the rep. who put them on my flash drive. I'll have to send them to you . . fly swatter, Jeopardy game . . koosh ball . . Do you have any of them?
Did you notice that we have the interactive Jeopardy (it actually keeps score) on our computer already? I didn't notice that until yesterday.

Jim Hollis and Harvey Almarode bring you a scary episode of Get SMART with SMART Boards. This week Jim and Harvey share some Halloween resources for teachers to use with their SMART Board. Harvey begins by sharing is thoughts on the Living Sasquatch website. This website allows you to incorporate your webcam to bring a living Sasquatch onto your SMART Board. Jim's website recommendation is Oswego City School's interactive games which include some great Halloween themed Math games. Jim and Harvey also share some creepy Halloween Notebook files including Jim's Halloween Safety House. The podcast concludes with a challenge from Harvey to create a 3D hole in a 3D rectangle using the tools in the Notebook toolbar.
