Vickie Here is an excellent website for Everyday Math on the SMART Board, if you don't have it bookmarked already! Lessons for grades K-5 (all units). Check it out! Wouldn't want you to have to make them yourself. :) http://smartboardsandeverydaym...

Hi Heidi!
Just wanted to let you know that I used your calendar with my gr 1's today -- they loved the fonts! Thank you so much for sharing. I have a quick question, do you use word to make your charts/groovy fonts and then cut and paste them into notebook?
Thanks again,
Sarah

I noticed you said you had Houghton Mifflin reading activities that you might be willing to share. Would you mind sharing anything for first grade? I am new to the smartboard this fall and would love some ideas to get me started.

I use Ubuntu is my main OS. Am planning to get computers from companies to school and put some linux in them to make them usable...

Making them tools for learning and making ICT possible...i will not connect them to the awful microsoft system...and novell network...

One problem is when one or the other have closed formats. Open source movement is making formats standard open and both Apple and MS should follow instead of pushing their own closed formats.

We need standards that are not bound to a certain browser or computer with a specific OS...they need to stop slowing development down with their greed.

I use Mac, Windows and Linux. All have psotive and negative sides....Linux system will grow i think...Ubuntu is coming strongly...

I live in Tyresö and teach in Enskede in Stockholm. Our problem is that the city have done some stupid choices and some bad deals. They are bound to an ASP system to cope with grades and communications. This means that you need IE browser to use the system...not very flexibel. They also have locked the computers in a novell system that are underdimensioned and very slow...it take 4 minutes to log on and at least 4 min to log out....

Hard to develop ICT under these circumstances.

Sure is a good experience sharing others cultures. Maybe i sort of confused with definitions...but i teach ICT to my fellow teachers and also use ICT in my own teaching from time to time...

I also have alot of experience with LMS and have some photographs having courses in photo at my photosite i host.
