Activation

Since the new update, I was receiving a message that I needed to activate my response software. I assumed it meant my VE activation which I didn't need anymore so I did nothing since I was going to use PE. Now all of my response icons are gone and it wants a code. I plugged the receiver in but it still will not bring everything back. I tried to reinstall the software also.. Any suggestions out their?

Is there a document anywhere that states the Windows 7 settings that need to be changed to make the SMARTBoard work smoothly. If so, please share.
