- About Me:
- My name is Danita Russell and I am an Instructional Technology Facilitator with Lee County Schools. I currently service Bragg Street Academy, SanLee Middle School, and West Lee Middle School. I work with about 250 teachers and 1600 students. My main responsibilities are to help 8th grade students with the computer skills test, introduce teachers to new technologies, help teachers integrate technology seamlessly into their lessons, conduct professional development workshops, and teach students new technology skills.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, I hold a BS in middle school education math and social studies, Master's in Gifted Education K -12, and middle school science certificate. I recently completed my ITF (Instructional Technology Facilitator) certificate. This is my 16th year in middle school education. I have taught 6th grade world geography, world history, 8th grade American history, 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, and 7th grade science.

Jim Hollis and Harvey Almarode bring you a scary episode of Get SMART with SMART Boards. This week Jim and Harvey share some Halloween resources for teachers to use with their SMART Board. Harvey begins by sharing is thoughts on the Living Sasquatch website. This website allows you to incorporate your webcam to bring a living Sasquatch onto your SMART Board. Jim's website recommendation is Oswego City School's interactive games which include some great Halloween themed Math games. Jim and Harvey also share some creepy Halloween Notebook files including Jim's Halloween Safety House. The podcast concludes with a challenge from Harvey to create a 3D hole in a 3D rectangle using the tools in the Notebook toolbar.
