I am in Virginia. It would be nice to know if anyone has broken down lessons by SOLs. I am trying to help teachers target areas for remediation based on SOL scores. With that said I understand that might be a tall order, I would like more info. on...

Just to clarify....the ink layer doesn't work or show when you pick up a SMARTBoard pen? I would unplug the phone cable that is below the SMARTBoard tray and plug it back into port one. I would then also check the ink layer settings in the control...
Beth, maybe you have the Ink Layer turned off. Try this: click on SMART Board tools icon. Select Control Panels. Click on "Ink Layer Settings." Check on/off the boxes you want. It sounds like you have "Show Border around Ink Layer" checked OFF.

I am trying at access Notebook 10 training for Mac user. I can download info. but it does not open properly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ink Layer Issue
I am a ITRT in Va. and am having trouble with ink layer showing on computer that I just installed Notebook 10 software. I have installed exact software on other computers around building and it is working fine. I see the floating toolbar and teacher can use Ink Aware feature, etc---just not Ink Layer. Any thoughts or tips for fixing this???? Thanks--Beth

Jim Hollis and Harvey Almarode bring you a scary episode of Get SMART with SMART Boards. This week Jim and Harvey share some Halloween resources for teachers to use with their SMART Board. Harvey begins by sharing is thoughts on the Living Sasquatch website. This website allows you to incorporate your webcam to bring a living Sasquatch onto your SMART Board. Jim's website recommendation is Oswego City School's interactive games which include some great Halloween themed Math games. Jim and Harvey also share some creepy Halloween Notebook files including Jim's Halloween Safety House. The podcast concludes with a challenge from Harvey to create a 3D hole in a 3D rectangle using the tools in the Notebook toolbar.
