Comment by Obe Hostetter on November 27, 2012 at 7:22pm Matt, I can import Notebook files from dropbox or Google drive but at this point, the Notebook app only allows you to share to email. I am hoping that the Notebook app includes sharing back to dropbox and Google drive in a future update.
Comment by Matt Granger on November 26, 2012 at 8:46am Obe,
How do you save the Notebook iPad files to dropbox or google drive? I have both of those iPad apps, but email file is the only option I have under the Share button.
Comment by liza steffen on November 25, 2012 at 2:49pm Thank you. I downloaded the PDF app. I do have Smart Notebook on my students' computers but I am trying to put everything in the itunes u course right now so they can just use ipads where the course is residing. I think I will only post the quiz in the course for those who missed the class, this way I won't have to correct too many myself :)
Comment by Obe Hostetter on November 25, 2012 at 2:41pm The quicktime movies sound like a great idea for Itunes U or post on the free video hosting website www.vimeo.com If users use SMART Notebook on their computers to complete assignments and email the files to you, then the lesson activity toolkit can be used. Dropbox or Google Drive works great with the SMART Notebook Ipad app to share files.
If you want to use SMART Response VE, maybe use the online version that cost money at http://response.smarttech.com/ or find another website to do assessment with or correct the questions yourself.
I have also enjoyed using this free pdf notes app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pdf-notes-free-for-ipad-pdf/id39148...) because you can write over top of any pdf.
Comment by liza steffen on November 25, 2012 at 1:24pm Thank you. I am actually trying to use the files in iTunes U course manager. I decided the easiest way is to record and change them into QuickTime videos. I mostly want to use activity files (oops, can't do those) and smart response ones. I guess I can always use those as PDFs, but than I have to correct them myself, right?
Comment by Obe Hostetter on November 25, 2012 at 1:12pm Yes, the SMART Notebook Ipad app allows you to download files from teh web or cloud and interact with Notebook files. However, it is limited and can't handle flash or Lesson Activity Toolkit files but sound and layers work. See this web page for more info:

Comment by liza steffen on November 25, 2012 at 9:51am I am curious about what smart app can do? here is my question. If I have Smart app on the iPads can my students download Smart notebook file (let's say from the cloud) and interact with it? Did anybody try it already?
Comment by liza steffen on November 8, 2012 at 7:44pm I am running 10.8.2. Smart response is running pretty well. Did you run the latest update?
Comment by Jennifer Harper on November 8, 2012 at 7:41pm I am running MAC OS 10.8 with service pack 1 and my Smart Response will not work at all. Wondering if anyone is running Smart Response on a OS 10.8 with no issues? or if you had issues, what did it take to resolve the issue?
Comment by Matt Granger on November 2, 2012 at 1:15pm What's tricky about this is that it has to be done in the Properties tab, not in the adaptive tool bar. Any changes you make there won't be reflected in the tab, and you'll have to do it again.
