That rule no longer exists if you are using Notebook 10.6 and Snow Leopard.

Comment by Obe Hostetter on January 23, 2011 at 8:26am Check your display settings with your computer and projector on.
1. System preferences
2. Click on Displays
3. Select the arrangement tab and make sure you have mirroring checked. Try different resolutions. Most Epson projectors like 1024 X 768 (or 800 X 600). You can also try different refresh rates (60-85htz).
4. Try dragging the SMART Board tools to where you want it.
Comment by Sara Getting on January 22, 2011 at 11:26pm Hi Everyone,
A strange thing happened this week: My floating tools tab, which IS visible on my teacher computer, has all of a sudden gone off the edge of the touch screen as it is projected, making it impossible to use the floating tools while I am teaching. I have the Epson Powerlite 83+ Projector mounted and have played around with all I can think of in the menu of the projector. The screen can shrink and expand, but the floating tools seem to have been completely pushed off of what is being projected. Has anyone ever had this happen? Please advise, this is the most irritating thing ever. Thanks!
Comment by Obe Hostetter on January 6, 2011 at 6:10am We don't use the SMART Board aware tool with Word, Excel or PowerPoint 2004, so we rename the Aware app to NOT aware (Located in SMART Product Drivers folder-sometimes the Additional Tools folder). Just know by renaming the Aware tool, it will get rid of the toolbar in Word/PowerPoint too so those programs may act different. See our SMART MAC troubleshooting guide at http://www.rockingham.k12.va.us/resources/smartboard.htm#troublesho...
Restart your computer after renaming the aware app. You could always rename aware back to aware if you don't like the results.
