Jennifer Harper,

1. Close any open instances of SMART Notebook on the Mac. 

2.  Launch the same SMART ToolSet application which Frank mentioned earlier this year:  http://downloads.smartmacsupport.com/SMART%20ToolSet.zip

3.  Run this command:    flash995

4. Reopen SMART Notebook.

Please let us know if the Flash-based content is now usable or still turns black. Also, let us know which version of Adobe Flash Player is installed.

I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 and Notebook 10.8.235.

In files that I have created over the years, whenever I put a flash item on the page, such as the calculator or question flipper, the item turns black and unusable when I use the scroll bar on the right.

If I start a new file, these items function just fine.

Any ideas on how to get my earlier files, some of which are less than a year old, to run flash files properly?

@Obe, I have 600 Macbooks in a middle school running Lion and plan to update all of them starting Monday. Call it-- job security.

VIdeo codecs can effect flash movies.  I would install or update www.perian.org and Flip4Mac free video codecs

I have a lab of iMac 10.6.8 with Notebook 10.  On my teacher machine I am able to import a .flv movie file and it runs without a problem, but on the other machines all I get is a black screen.  I have try to figure out what is on the teacher's machine but not on the other to no avail. I have the same version of OS and Notebook on all the machines.  Anyone have any ideas?

Colleague was told at conference that the "patch" is out for Mac users for the SMART Document Camera to use the 3D cube? Is this true? If so, where?

I just started experiencing the strangest thing.  I tried to use the Screen Capture tool and no matter which of the 4 camera choices I choose, I get this empty block in the middle of my image.  Any suggestions on what to do?  I use this tool constantly.  NBK-78384-69b52.galleryitem

This is a copy of the image with the white block in the way of the capture.
