Comment by Randy Tran on September 8, 2011 at 12:58pm @Susan Armusewicz> if your setup is that you've extended your desktop to the SMART Board and it acts as a second desktop, then you can use the Screenshade tool and that will block out the On-SMARTboard desktop while leaving your other display open.
If you have the Desktop on the SMART Board set to mirror what's on your computer, I would just change the source. On a laptop, its most likely going to be a key combination with your FN key, but if you're working on a desktop, you might have a switch on the table where the computer resides, or you could just change the source on your projector temporarily.

I use the A/V Mute button on my remote for the projector and that does the trick for me.

Comment by Obe Hostetter on July 17, 2011 at 6:27am As a general rule, you are fine going back and forth from MAC to Windows computers with Notebook. I have many teachers who create files on Windows at home and use the files on their MACS at school. Where you may have problems is if you use the Lesson Activity Toolkit or Flash items. The MAC has issues with flash where it sometimes loses the words that were entered into an activity but Windows computers don't have those issues. All you can do is try it out to know for sure.
Comment by Terri Miller on July 17, 2011 at 3:02am I'm a new mac user - at home, that is. My computers at school are all PCs. Will I encounter problems when I create Notebook files at home on my Mac and then run them on PCs at school?
Thanks!
