Comment by Obe Hostetter on September 20, 2011 at 4:07pm Notebook on MACs can't import PowerPoints to Notebook but Notebook on Windows computers (File-import) can so many teachers use a windows computer to convert a PowerPoint into Notebook format. Once the file is in Notebook format it works on the MACs too.

Thanks!

Can you set the default for word on a mac to stay at 150% so that it can be seen better by students?
Comment by Obe Hostetter on September 8, 2011 at 5:21pm @Susan Armusewicz You can turn off mirroring by going to system preferences-displays-arrangement tab and uncheck mirroring. Now to show something on the SMART Board, you have to drag your window to the right of your screen so it shows.
However, many of the teachers I work with prefer to use the freeze (or blank or black button) on their projector remote. This freezes the image on the SMART Board so you can take attendance, do grades, email and then hit the freeze button again to use the SMART Board.
