Comment by Randy Tran on June 16, 2011 at 8:40am If that's how you wish to approach it, then sure thing. It might actually be better to wait for your techs to push out an update since we also have new versions of all software (Notebook will be 10.8) coming out in the next while (late July/early August timeframe).
Alternatively, I don't mind helping you out with any other problems if you choose to upgrade the software yourself. (With schools starting to go on holidays, the services dep't at SMART isn't at a premium and I have a lot more time these days)

Comment by DDM on June 15, 2011 at 8:29pm Hi Tracey,
Totally agree with Randy. I have the same version of Mac OS and 10.7 Notebook software fixes the flash problems found in previous versions of Notebook.
Hi Randy
Our education dept has not yet offered the higher version of notebook on the download site. If I have this version of notebook can I download from the main Smart site?
Thanks in advance.
Comment by Randy Tran on June 15, 2011 at 10:41am @Tracey> You shouldn't have to downgrade the flash, but I wouldn't rule it out, since Adobe almost never gives any notice as to when new versions come out, limiting our ability to test our software with the new version of flash.
Personally though, before you even consider downgrading your flash, I would recommend upgrading your Notebook Software. I was just testing out the new version of Flash Player 10.3 with the Notebook Software 10.7 and have yet to run into any issues with Flash applets in the Notebook files.
SMART Notebook Software 10.7 Download Page
Give installing that a try first before you try downgrading the flash player on the Mac.

Comment by Randy Tran on April 19, 2011 at 9:36am @VV> My apologies for not getting back to you until now; I've been somewhat busy at the office, and let this little issue slip my mind.
Anyway, I took a look at the file and did a little analysis on it, and found something rather indicative as to what may have happened. The page that you mentioned, where PO was getting written, the reason why the worksheet is no longer there is because the image itself for some reason or another completely gone from the Notebook file itself (Notebook files also act as containers for whatever other files you insert, including pictures, images, and sound files. Not only could I not find the files, I couldn't find the actual container within the Notebook file that is supposed to hold the images and sounds used.
If your teacher still has a copy of the image used, my suggestion would be to get rid of the old image placeholder (if you press control+A to select all objects, you'll find a blank box in the upper left corner of the page - delete this) and then reinsert the image again. If the missing image/table goes missing again, please let me know immediately, and attach a copy of the new file. I can pass them off to development to get some feedback if my own analysis yields no new information.

Comment by VV on April 13, 2011 at 8:50am Hey Randy
The teacher sent me the file, would you like to take a look at it? The page towards the end where you see her writing PO, is where the image of the worksheet was--now it is gone!
Comment by Randy Tran on April 12, 2011 at 9:04am @VV> No, that is not normal, Notebook Files should not lose their pages unless something happened to the file itself. If you'd like, I can take a look at the files for you and try to dig up the problem, maybe even repair the file if possible. (you can either attach the file here or send me an e-mail).
