Comment by Obe Hostetter yesterday I doubt that is a SMART issue. I would run Disk Utility and repair permissions on your MAC.
Comment by Winnie Richardson yesterday I don't think this is a SMART issue, but my mac is not turning on. I always shut down properly. Plug in the SB and the projector before turning in the laptop. (I have to shut down between uses so another teacher with a pc can use the projector and smart board) When I turn it on I get the apple screen and the whirligig going around and around. sometimes a minute others half an hour or more so I force shut down and try again after 5 + minutes. then it starts, but slowly. I have parallels, but don't use it. This also happens when I take the macbook home. Thanks for listening.
Comment by liza steffen on April 18, 2013 at 4:18pm I reinstalled Student Sync and interestingly in configuration tool if I do not choose automatic log in and students can select me from the option, then they connect. I want (and used to have) a different option when they automatically connect using my computer name. Now this option doesn't work at all. Smart still denies it might be their fault.

Comment by Jennifer Harper on April 16, 2013 at 11:11am Liza and Obe, same thing happening on my Mac today. As soon as I turned it on it said that it was unable to synch. I don't think it is just a single issue. I think something has changed along the way.

Comment by Obe Hostetter on April 16, 2013 at 10:02am If you are on MAC, try disabling the firewall temporarily to see if you can see the student computers. Then if it works, you can customize the firewall to work.
