SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

I have a teacher that is wondering if there is a way to view students' answers after an assessment was taken and stopped. The reason for this is if she created a question using the 'short answer' style, she wants to see if students texted the wrong answer or just misspelled it.

I have the same question. I can give assessments and look at the results after the quiz as long as the assessment is still open. I have found how to save reports on the total grade for the assessment, such as 70% but I want to see a report for the questions.

I would like to have an individual report with the answers. I found the indvidual report with the questions on every page with the slide but a 10 question test is 3 pages per student. I really would like to have report that looks like the results we see when we view it in the assessment. Hope this makes sense...
When I finish the assessment, I quickly dim the LCD and the go the "Response" menu on the top of the screen, scroll down to "Export Results to". You have a choice of either exporting as CSV or a web page. This gives you spreadsheet (CSV) or a web page that you can see all students, what each student keyed in as an answer, what the correct answer is for the question and their percentage correct. The report naturally orders students from the most correct to the least correct.

The big key is that you have to do the Export before you close the Notebook file out.

I did find a file that is a how to for SMART Response that might be of a little help. The last two pages talk about how to get to the "Student" reports so that you can have a Study Guide for each student if you wanted.

The second attached file is 88 pages long. Beginning on page 77 they give a clear description of the various reports and how to get to them.

If you save the Notebook file with the SMART Response questions immediately after giving the assessment, the Notebook file embeds your answers into the file so you can print the results later if you want. That is why I tell teachers to do a file-save as in Notebook so you still have the original to use with another class to test.
Thanks for all of the good suggestions, everyone!
