A Revolution in Education
We always used the simulator to show the clicker on the SMART Board to take students through the process the first time... This year with the new version 10.7.1 it is now called 'visual reference' and isn't interactive... anyone else having that issue?
thanks!

Open the SMART Response "SMART Desktop Menu" and select "Setup Tool". Select the radio button next to the "SMART Response/Senteo" clicker and then Ok. Now the Simulator should work properly. The steps to join a class with physical clickers are essentially the same regardless of which clicker is used.

Permalink Reply by Dodie Ainslie on September 7, 2011 at 6:47am I'm not sure what you mean by the "SMART Desktop MEnu"- I've gone to the control panel... floating desktop tools... teacher tools... Is there another place where I can access the setup tool in order to get the simulator back to being interactive? Also, was this a change in the software- or maybe we loaded it differently? Not sure why this year our teachers have to do an extra step to get it working like they are use to.
thanks!

You should be able to access the Setup Tool for SMART Response 2010 directly in 2 ways.
1. Select the Windows Start button > All Programs > SMART Technologies > SMART Response > Setup Tool. Desktop Menu should also be in this list.
2. Or in Windows Explorer browse to C:\Program Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Response\SMARTResponseSetupTool.exe and launch it.
Once Setup Tool is open, select "SMART Response / Senteo" and press Ok to restore the Simulator.
