Add a question to this page

Do any of you know why I am unable to add a question to the current page I am on.  I select the link, but it always puts the created question on a new page?

New questions always go on a new page. You'll have to shuffle pages around if needed.

There is only one instance where you would have the ability to insert a new question on the current page, and that is by using the instant question options (You'll actually get a popup asking you if you want to insert the instant question on the current page or the next page).  You can find the instant question option in the Notebook Toolbar.

 

But if you use the instant question option, all it does is insert the question and selections itself (i.e. for multiple choice, you'd only see A,B,C, and D, and not what A, B, C, and D would represent).  

 

 

This feature is particularly useful if you've designed all of the Notebook content, and just needed to insert the question resource itself.

I have noticed that this is the case. What I am wondering is why, when in a current Content Page within a Notebook file, can't I add a non-instant question directly to that page? When I click on the Response Side Tab, it says "add a question to this page"??? I am investigating for a teacher I support that is wondering if she has to re-create her page(s) after embedding the Response question? I think I know the answer to this, but was hoping for a better answer :) Also, the instant questions do work, but she wanted to have them all set.
