Hi! I just joined the group and am excited to share with other music teachers using SMART in their classrooms. Just a little tip: Use a lazor pointer to help kids track as they read music off the SMART Board. You can shine your magic light from anywhere in the room! Cheers!

This is the best Music Smartboard Notebook web page I know of

You could also use the page recorder to "bop" over the notes. Start page recorder and then move your red ball over the notes as fast or slowly as you want. Stop recording and when you hit play, you will see your music animation.

Some other music teachers and I are attempting to start a wiki as a place to deposit and share SMART notebooks and other teacher-created materials. It is still in the early stages but you can view it at mustech.pbwiki.com .... contact me if you would like to contribute!!

I use it for recorders too! I linked all my songs in as well. Works great. I went ahead and put ALL of my CD's in iTunes. I don't have to spend time switching CD's anymore, which was time consuming when I would play songs from 6-7 per class.
Today I was using the airliner to "bop" the cursor over the notes so the kids could follow along. It makes it easier for them to see if I'm not standing in front of the board!

I teach the "recorder" we call it "block flute" with smartboard.
I find it more usable to have the score on the board and write on it, rather than depending on that all kids have their own sheet of paper.
The other day I also ripped the "backing music" to mkp 3 and will link to it directly from the score page. I wont misplace my cd again...
