I thought I would share with you, that I understand that the Math Version of Notebook for the MAC will be available for beta soon (I was informed that Smart is working for a January release but that is not firm date). How have those that used the PC version liked or disliked the application?

Thanks Tracy:
Our school is actually just grades seven and eight. Some of the activities on Harvey's Homepage are easily adaptable to 7th grade curriculum, so thanks for the tip!

Fraction Strips - I was able to pull some from this website -
http://www.wfnss.ca/math/math%20schedule.htm
Go down to Nov. 1 and then click on SMARTboard Fractions Gallery
There are 64 graphics in that gallery and the fraction strips are near the bottom.

Does your middle school include 6th grade?
Harvey's Homepage has some ready-made files that work for elementary and middle. http://www.harveyshomepage.com
I know I have adapted some of those to work with my 5th and 6th graders.

I am in Virginia. It would be nice to know if anyone has broken down lessons by SOLs. I am trying to help teachers target areas for remediation based on SOL scores. With that said I understand that might be a tall order, I would like more info. on pre-made notebook lessons for middle school, Algebra, and Geometry. Thanks!

That last comment was garbled somehow. It was supposed to read: "I'm looking for fraction strips and number lines for the SMART board." Sorry about that! Thanks!

I am not a Middle School Math teacher but am an ITRT and need resources for math teachers. Any suggestions would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I would be careful updating or downloading any new SMART product until it has been out for 3-6 months. Typically, I download and try the latest or Math Beta on a "test" computer at my house so that it doesn't mess up my classroom or presenter notebook software.
