We have the Smart Sympodiums installed in our videoconferencing rooms to enable interactivity during a VC.  Tools most popular, apart from the pen and highlighter, are the spotlight and magnifier.  We also have maths lecturers who use Smart Notebook a lot.

Outwith VC, we have a number of lecturers who use the screen recorder to create videocasts which they put into the VLE.  A good number of our students are online students.

I was never able to get the video to upload here, but it's in a blog post I wrote: http://digitalunion.osu.edu/2009/10/14/smart-teaching/

Another great example of pre-service/K12 alignment - this is a powerful video - http://vault.smarttech.com/videos/prep/

More Universities get SMART Boards to help pre-service teachers learn how to use them before entering the schools as teachers. See http://www.marylandpublicschools.org/MSDE/pressrelease_details/2010...

This is a great YouTube video from Pepperdine U on using the SMART Podium and other classroom technology ... music may be the best!

Does anyone have a SMART Notebook lesson they would like to share? Any subject would do as long as it speaks to a higher ed audience.

Going to the AACTE conference in Atlanta this Feb 19-22? If so, SMART is hosting a customer reception Thursday, Feb 18 at the downtown Hilton hotel. If you are going to AACTE and are interested in attending please let me know and I will put you on the list.
