Class to collaborate with?

My third grade class is about to read Because of Winn-Dixie. Last year we read along with Shelley's class and, in addition to using her great SmartBoard resources, we were able to get the students together using Google Docs and a webblog. My students found it really motivating. Is there any third grade (or similarly aged) class out there who would like to buddy up with us this year?

Hi Mary.  If you haven't found another class to do this, I am interested.  My name is Suzy and I teach 3rd grade in MI.  I think it sounds like a great idea.

Hi Suzanne,

 

We have just started reading Winn-Dixie. I think my class got to chapter 6 this week. We have a Wallwisher website to respond to, "Do you think Opal did the right thing when she said the dog was hers?" and my kids wrote "10 Things About Me" on Friday. We will share those on Monday and see if the other students can guess who it is.

 

There is still time to join us. Interested? I have a great Notebook file that Shelly Moses shared with me last year that I will be happy to send to you.
