SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

I am having SmartBoard troubles with Windows 7 64 bit. Touch
press won't allow grouping & can't "grab" handles to
enlarge/reduce. The cursor turns into an small diamond shape when the board is pressed instead of the usual arrow shape.  When this occurs, the entire screen slide will move anytime the object is selected an moved on the SmartBoard, however, Notebook objects can be controlled normally from the computer cursor. Notebook objects are not locked.  I have re-installed the entire program and all related hardware drivers and am still experiencing the problem . XP and Vista 32 bit machines work fine.  Any suggestions?

Had the same issue and though I was going to go crazy. Here is the fix - enjoy :)

1. Click Start > Control Panel > Pen and Touch

2. Click the 'Panning' tab.

3. Uncheck 'Turn on Single Finger Panning'.

Thanks Julie, your suggestion worked! I wish I knew about this forum weeks ago. Finally, I can present using my laptop!

It's absolutely necessary to do what Julie Ann mentions. Also, make sure you're using version 10.6 of Notebook. You can't use Windows 7 64-bit without it. Also, the printer driver (SMART Printer Document Writer) will not function with 64-bit machines at this time.
