The same here! The softvare is constantly crashing on Snow Leopard, I can almost not use it. It's VERY annoying!! Anybody who knows about some updates?? It's october now....SMART: Hurry up! I need a 64 bit version of the program, or a 32 bit which is compatible.....
All I know is that I have Snow Leopard and just installed SB 10 and the SB Notebook won't open, but the tools will. It acts like the Notebook is going to open for about the first 3 secs and then automatically closes with a note that automatically sends to Apple concerning the problems.
I did not have SB software on my computer before I upgraded to Snow Leopard. I would like to know if anyone else is having this problem.
I am a new MAC user, MAC Book Pro with Snow Leopard, and a technology consultant. I am working in a MAC school in NYC and I could not get my MAC to recognize the Smart 10.0 driver. Last Tuesday, I did 6 hours of training on Smartboards for Differentiating Instruction with a "virtual" IWB. Very disappointing and unless there is a fix on the horizon, I will not be able to use my notebook for future training.
I bought a MacBook Pro to use in my music classes, but sadly I have not
been able to run Notebook. It crashes on a regular basis. I spoke with support
at SmartTech 3 times last week...uninstalled...reinstalled to no avail. I use the Smartboard
as a screen now waiting for SmartTech to catch up. I'm thankful to the Revolution for
creating this forum... nothing to be found on the Mac or SmartTech sites. I hope for a cure soon.
The Snow Leopard update for Notebook will hopefully come out in January sometime. For now, one idea would be to install Rosetta and try running Notebook under Rosetta mode. See this Apple discussion on Rosetta and Snow Leopard for more info at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10062461
Does anyone have any updates? This really is frustrating. I'm on a pro and it constantly crashes. I would also like to run the math plugin but that looks like it will be a year away from what I have heard. With the number of educational institutions running a mac platform you would think that SMART would be a more concerned with the compatibility issues - disappointed really!
