A Revolution in Education
I am running Parallels 7 and Windows XP on my Macbook.
I believe I have SMART Ink turned on from the Start/Programs menu (I selected it and see it listed although the icon looks gray to me)
I have SMART Notebook 11 and SMART Board tools 2012 running but I can't seem to write on anything except a Notebook file. I can get the Floating Toolbar but I can't use those pens to write on a Word 2007 doc or a Firefox window.
Do I need to be connected to a Board to do this? I have a SMART Board training later this morning and I want to demonstrate this in their native "language" which is PC.

With SMART Ink, you will need to connect to a SMART Board for it to be initialized outside of SMART Notebook. You will recognize that SMART Ink is fully enabled when the toolbar appears Green instead of gray

I run Parallels and XP as well. What I've noticed is that when I am using Notebook in Windows, the SMART Ink from the Mac side over-rides things on the PC side and I have problems with the pens in Windows not working correctly. So, the Mac SMART Ink thinks the Windows Notebook is just another window on the Mac and the Windows Notebook tools don't work properly.
