SMART Ideas Concept Mapping Software
Is anybody using SMART Ideas in their classroom? If so, would you be willing to allow me to use you for a reference? All it entails is me including your name, district and email on a software approval submission form and possibly answering an email from our IT director about how you use SMART Ideas in your classroom.

I do. What do you need? Are you trying to get it purchased for non-board connected computers? It works OK for that, but Inspiration/Kidspiration may be better for that. I understand the desire for consistency though. But in my opinion, it is the only concept mapping software for the board. And if you register the boards, you get 3 additional years on the warranty and a free license for each board registered.

Yes, we are looking to purchase, but we also have to have the software approved by the district committee even to install the free licences we get for the boards we are having installed (almost 3,000 county wide).
Could I put your name and email address on the "Software Justification Form"? I doubt anyone would actually contact you.

SMART Ideas is excellent software and I would highly recommend it. It is very similar to Kidspiration/Inspiration but is designed to work with the Notebook gallery and the SMARTBoard. You can see some SMART Ideas templates posted at http://www1.center.k12.mo.us/edtech/SB/SITemplates.htm
