SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

I know my laptop is old (Windows XP, Core Duo), but have any of you noticed how slowly the Notebook 10 files open in Notebook 11?  I have a couple of files with 85 or more pages (some linking to video files) and its taking close to 4 minutes for them to open!  In Notebook 10, they opened in 20 seconds!  Any thoughts on this situation?

Just like any technology, newer software tends to need newer hardware.  Three fixes you could try is:

1. Limit the number of software programs you have open when you run Notebook.  Restarting a computer every day can speed it up too.

2. Add more RAM memory to your computer.  Crucial.com is a inexpensive place to buy computer memory.  Crucial can scan your computer and tell you what you have and what it would cost to add more memory to speed up your computer.

3. Update your Adobe flash?

Thanks for the suggestions!  Are you running Windows 7 or XP?  Flash is up to date and I have "mucho" ram.

I have installed Notebook 11 on windows 7 computers and it works fine.  For now, I am keeping Notebook 10 on my XP computer.
