SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

Another great session! The level of the teaching has been great for all levels of participants. Newbies are able to learn new things to move them further along. Veterans are able to also learn something new, or be reminded of something we have forgotten.

An all-international crew presents this month. Jo Villis, from Australia, shares how to organise (in deference to her spelling ;-) Notebook files on a wiki for sharing and student access. Here are the links to her wikis:

Calgary born and bred SMART Manager for Education Products, Software, and Services, Stephan Doyle, shows off more Notebook 11 features and gives a preview of the new Response software and the coming of the widget train. More to come on those.

Valia Reinsalu shows how to use Notebook tools and techniques to bring focus and attention, especially for the students that really need it. Later, Valia found an article about using colour and colour blindness. Here is the link to that http://www.colourblindawareness.org/teachers/

I finish off with two more Notebook 11 tips. Yes, it is possible to make the calligraphic ink the default ink when using the pens. Notebook 11 also lets you put size guides on the page when designing so you will know what will be visible on the size screen you will display on.

Use this page to discuss anything about the meeting. Ask questions, give other ideas about what was taught, etc.

I apologise if I disappointed those who were interested in learning how to manage a wiki. I have created the video below for you. If you have any questions regarding wikis you can contact me via my website http://inter-tech.com.au/?cat=10 or at jvillis@inter-tech.com.au

Thanks for this, Joanne. May I have permission to embed it in the Scoop.it I'm putting together for the April Moodle Meet on SB's (http://www.scoop.it/t/ceet-moodle-meet-resources-apr-2012-smartboar...). This list is a just being constructed.

Sure.

Matt, thank you so much for archiving these meetings. It is a real blessing! I just got caught up with March and April. I have a request, can you get from them or give us email addresses for Stephan's Notebook 11, Brandie's LAT notebook file and Charity's Shapes file?  I would love to have these!! Maybe they are listed on Smart Exchange?

Again Thanks so much for spearheading these meetings!!

Diana

The LAT file is on the March meeting page. I can see if I can get Charity and Stephan's.

The first file will not open.
