Anyone have any ideas of using iPads with Notebook software or with the SMART Board?

Well, since we don't really have a version of the Notebook Software developed for iPad (yet, but it'll happen, someday) the next best thing I could suggest is just to search for a some kind of remote desktop app so that your iPad can observe and interact/control a computer.

If that computer has SMART Notebook installed, you'll get a setup similar to that of using the SMART Wireless slates, but with an image of the desktop instead of grey plastic surface.  In short, you could easily use the iPad to control SMART Notebook and other SMART Tools as well.

Thanks Randy for your post. I just downloaded "SPLASHtop" app on my iPad. What's cool is that it can emulate either my MAC or PC. Is there anything where I could have multiple iPad (in a classroom) working off my laptop? So if I have  Notebook activity on my computer, multiple students could be using it independently...... perhaps a pipe dream....
Splashtop app is very popular to remotely control your computer/SMART Board and use with Notebook.  Wireless Internet is required in order to be able to use the app.  Download the $5 app at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/splashtop-remote-desktop-for/id38250...
