SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

Hi everyone.
I'm hoping that this has not been covered already elsewhere but with 11 being so new I can't find any help online at all - sorry if it has.

I have some games set up along the lines of a guess who - but with shapes.

basically they are single powerpoint slides with buttons to trigger animations.

they work fine with the embedded SMART pens and the like for version 10

they don't work at all with version 11

has anyone played with version 11 yet?
can anyone help?

What version of PowerPoint?  One fix for PowerPoint 2011with Notebook that I had to do to make the PowerPoint work with the SMART Board the way the teacher wanted was setup the PowerPoint.  If you click on Slideshow menu-set up show and choose to browsed by an individual (window), then you can use the SMART Board to advance slides as well as use the pens to write on the slides.  This trick can also be used in earlier versions of PowerPoint.

the microsoft stuff is all 2007... but the issue I have is not with advancing slides.
The slides advance, the pens work and all is good...
but I have objects in the slide set up to trigger animations when they are clicked:
a box fades in or out to hide of show the picture when you click on an invisible layer in the slide.

The problem I am having is that the SMART software overrides the powerpoint controls so that I can only use pens or advance the slide - my buttons don't work any more :/

as I mentioned it was fine with 10... doesn't work in 11...

it may be that an update of powerpoint will fix it though... I'll give it a go.

cheers.

EDIT: The powerpoint all works as it should if I use the mouse - it is only the touch screen that won't work as notmal

Any chance the single panning feature in Windows 7 is effecting it?  See http://smartboardrevolution.ning.com/forum/topics/windows-7-and-not...

hmmm... that maybe the cause - I'll have to wait now to test it though, school holidays have just kicked in...

cheers.

Yeah!
cheers, the .bat files fix my issue... for about 5 minutes until the stupid big brother system I work in re-installs the drivers.

now all I need to do is wait for my system supervisor to turn up to work midweek so he can do it permanently :)
