Notebook 10 error with scanning
Has anyone encountered this problem? Our division is experiencing this error with different printer/scanner combinations. Any advice will be appreciated!

You could try upgrading to the latest version of Notebook, which is 10.6 and free to download from the SMART website. I don't know if this will work, but it will at least it will get you the latest software and maybe it makes a difference.
