Help! Having trouble with the downloading notebook documents on teachingwithsmartboard.com
If you get a chance, could you go to the site and see if you can download the files or not?
I'm attaching a picture of what some people are getting when they click on the notebook documents off of the resources page. Thanks so much. Dave

Hi Dave,
I was able to dowload the notebook files--60 & 61 and both are fine. I downloaded the actual video, but can't open it. I think that is because I don't have what it takes to open a .M4V file.
I wonder if it is possible that the ones that are having trouble have the new windows 8? I have heard of problems there.

I bet they are using Safari on a Mac. Have them use Firefox or IE and everything will be fine. I asked the same question to Ben Hazzard when I was trying to download files from his SmartBoard Lesson Podcast site.

Hi there,
Windows : Right click on that file you want to download and select "Save As ..." , when the file name comes up change the extension to .notebook if it isn't already and save-away.
Your browser is trying to open the .notebook file as if its a webpage and showing you some gibberish data instead of saving it to your hard drive. Matt and Dee are right - its something to do with your configuration but we'd have to ask a ton more questions. :D

I noticed that Safari 4 adds .html to the .notebook extension when I control click and save link as. To get it to work, I had to delete the .html after I downloaded and then it worked fine. Like I said before, Firefox didn't do that and it downloaded the file with a control click (right click) just fine.
