SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

I had a teacher ask about getting her Word document into Notebook. She hasn't liked using the camera tool and we didn't see a way to import it. With copy and paste she loses some of the math icons (she's a math teacher). I noticed on-line this way to save your Word document to keep your Equation Editor functions and such, but it was pretty involved. I told her to just use her Airliner in Word and we could customize the floating toolbar or Airliner for what she may want.
She mentioned using items in the gallery, though.
So, just curious, is there an easy way to get from Word to Notebook that I'm not thinking about. I figured if you could import from Word to do Senteo questions it would be easy.....maybe I was wrong!
Thanks,
Mark

If she just has a Word document that she wants to write on in Notebook, then it's easy. If she wants to be able to edit the text, then it's good old fashioned copy and paste.

Getting any document, pdf, .doc, web page, etc., into a notebook file is as easy as File--Print. Any document that can be printed can easily be put in a Notebook file from the print command. After selecting print, change the printer to "SMART Print capture." It's usually the last choice in the list of printers. That will convert each page of any document into an image file on separate Notebook pages. Then lock the image of the page in place and write on it.
Matt,
Thanks for the quick response. This is why I need Ning networks. I had done that before, but forgot! I'll see what they think, it does look a little fuzzy, but should work for her.
