We love Discovery Education movies (Former name Unitedstreaming). One of the best tips I learned at a conference is to show short movie clips or break a long movie down by asking questions before, during and after the movie as a way of engaging the students while watching the movie clip.  This is better than just hitting play on a movie and hoping the students acquire the knowledge.
