SMART Board Revolution

A Revolution in Education

Let's share our Christmas Notebook files. I recently found this one online at http://www.interactivewhiteboard.net.au/story.aspx?sc=53&id=129... Another one is shared at http://www.ict.oxon-lea.gov.uk/christmas/advent%20calendar%202008.n...

Does anyone have any other Christmas Notebook files to share?

I don't have a Christmas Notebook to share. Instead I'm looking for a flash app/program(?) that will allow me to drag a word to it and have it disappear. Last year I downloaded one of these for Halloween from Jim Hollis's site and used it for attendance. I teach high school and my students move their names to show if they are in class or not. They do this every day. Normally they just move their names from one side to the other, but the Halloween pumpkin eating their names was a big hit. I'd love to have something similar for Christmas.

Hi Julie,
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but the Teqsmart site has a free download, "A Christmas Word Bucket" . You can enter your students' names and check the box after each name so that they disappear into your chosen receptacle, a stocking, snowman, Santa's bag, or a gift. http://community.teqsmart.org/download.php?view.409

YEP! This is it. My thanksgiving one is like this. The only bad part is that I have 25 kids in some classes and there are only 20 blanks for words. Thanks a bunch for directing me to this Word Bucket. My high schoolers think this is so cool.

You're welcome...glad to help. Bummers about the shortage of blanks. My second graders think this flash app is cool too!
