Automatic sound/song play

Does anyone know how to make a sound/song automatically begin when a  page is launched within a notebook file?

When you attach the sound to an object on your page select "Play sound by clicking on: Object". This will essentially make the sound icon invisible; only you will know where it is on the page. When the page loads touch that object and the sound will play.

There is no way (I know of) in Notebook to have a sound play when a page opens. That sort of thing is accessible only as an "Animation" effect and playing sounds aren't considered animations in Notebook.

Hope that helps some even though it's not quite what you're looking for.

I also add text to my sound attached object so the object becomes a button.

Maybe smart could add the option of adding a sound to the background of a page and have the option of an automatic start.

It would also be handy to enable a sound file to play across several pages as in a powerpoint.

If you download a sound as a flash video file and insert it into smart notebook it will begin playing immediately when the page loads. You can hide the file behind something so you won't see it, just hear the music, but it is possible to have music play when a page loads instead of having to physically launch a song from a button. I had the same question last week and searched around on the net and that's what I came up with. You'd have to either have the same song loaded on every page or have a new song for the music to continue as the slides move. I was going to attach the demo file I created but I can't seem to get the song to start immediately if I close the program and start it up again. If I am working in a Notebook slide and move around the music starts and stops. if I save, leave, and come back it doesn't work again. It's a start maybe.

I make my presentations with songs in powerpoint. it seems much easier than using the Notebook software.
